Issue Summary
While attempting to upgrade the firmware on your Hanwha NVR/DVR, you cannot scan for the firmware on the USB, or the upgrade section is not shown as an option. Additionally, a no hard drive symbol is in the user interface.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, verify the recorder has at least one functioning hard drive. If the recorder is missing a recording drive, it will typically continue to beep. When attempting an upgrade, the recorder tries to extract the firmware onto the recording drive. If no drive is present, the upgrade process will hang.
NOTE: On newer NVRs/DVRs, the firmware upgrade screen may not appear
if there is no hard drive installed.
