Summary:
All Hanwha Vision PTZ cameras with an automatic lens initialization function has a default value of one day (24 hours) to re-initialize the lens. The initialization works by: Tilting the camera down -> Zooming in -> Adjusting the focus -> Moving back to the original position before lens initialization. This should be configured based on your installation scenario.
Step-by-step:
To enable or disable the automatic lens initialization function, follow the steps below.
Note: Focus blur may occur if the camera monitors complex scenes or is installed
in anenvironment exposed to vibration. This function automatically optimizes
focus at regular intervals as defined by the user.
1. Navigate to Settings -> Video & Audio -> Camera Setup -> Focus -> Lens reset (Figure 1)
- Enable: Lens initialization is performed at regular intervals beginning at camera boot time
- Disable: Lens initialization is disabled when "Manual" is selected in the Lens reset menu
2. To enable automatic initialization, select 1 day to 7 days using the pulldown menu (Figure 1)
3. To disable automatic initialization, select Manual using the pulldown menu (Figure 1)
