How do I factory reset a Hanwha camera?

Applies to Models: Hanwha network cameras. All form factors

Summary:

This article will go over resetting a camera that is locked out due to unknown credentials or being unresponsive in every other way and resetting via the Web UI for wiping unwanted configuration from a camera. The reset button process will wipe all information. Only use this if no other option exists

Factory Resetting via the Reset Button:

Step By Step Guide:

1. Locate the reset button (Figure 1)

Note: Refer to the manual of your model for more detailed
information of the reset button location. The button is 
recessed and either blue or white in color

2. Depress the Reset Button for 5 seconds while the unit is powered (not during bootup)

3. Release the Reset Button, and the unit will reboot on its own

4. This process will reset all of the settings in the camera, including defaulting the IP address to 192.168.1.100

Note: If DHCP is present on the network the unit will obtain an address
automatically

5. Open your browser

6. Enter the camera IP address into the URL bar of your browser

7. Press Enter

8. Enter new credentials for the camera

9. Click Apply

10. Enter your new credentials and log into the camera

Note: No recorded information on the Micro SD cards will be lost.
But third party applications in the Open Platform section will
be removed by this process

 

Factory Resetting via the Web GUI:

Step By Step Guide:

1. Open your Browser

2. Enter the IP address of the camera

3. Press Enter

4. Enter your credentials

NOTE: If you do not know the credentials, you will need to reset the device
physically at the device, click >Here<

5. Click on the gear in the center top of the interface (Figure 1)

6. On the left-hand sidebar, select System (Figure 2)

7. Select Upgrade Restart under the System menu (Figure 3)

8. Click the Reset button

NOTE: You can choose to default the camera completely, or retain
the IP information, by checking the Except Network Parameter &
Open Platform box shown below, this option can retain open 
platform applications on certain models
