Configuring Analytics in the WAVE Client

Summary:

This article will take you through configuring the advanced analytics on certain makes and model cameras in Wisenet WAVE.

Step By Step:

  1. Update the system to the latest build of WAVE.
  2. Log into the WAVE client as an admin-level user.
  3. Right-click on the camera in question.

  4. Go to camera settings.
  5. Select the Plugins tab.
  6. Verify that the analytics are not on the Primary Stream. This can cause CPU loading.

  7. Select the desired analytic and configure the settings, including any global settings.

  8. Some analytics require enabling them with the toggle.

  9. Certain analytics allow for an optional area/line name for easy reference.

  10. For virtual line/virtual areas, select the Click to add button.
  11. Choose a color and click on the video to draw the virtual line / virtual area.

Explanation of Behavior:

  • A minimum of 2 points are required for a virtual line. 
  • Virtual lines can also specify the direction(s) to trigger.
  • A minimum of 4 points are required for a virtual area.
  • You can add additional points by clicking on the border. 
  • Click the clear button to start over.
  • You can click and drag to move the entire virtual line/area.
