Summary:
All Hanwha recorders ship with a motion and continuous recording schedule assigned out of the box, if your site needs Event Recording, please follow the Step by Step below
Step By Step Guide:
1. Go to Setup > Event> Event Setup> Motion Detection and IVA (Figure 1)
NOTE: When setting up the Motion Area for cameras in this interface, this
process is always one channel at a time for this setup option
Figure 1
2. Make sure the Use Check has a Check Mark in it (Figure 2)
NOTE: You will not be modifying all of the settings in the Motion Detection
setup area, only change the selections listed below; all others leave
at their default settings
3. If you have mounted your camera at a higher than recommended height for camera mounting, you will need to adjust the Object Size settings, the green min box should be made smaller than a human in the field of view, and the red max setting should be the entire field of view (Figure 2)
4. Select Detection Area as Event Zone type (Figure 2)
Note: Most camera models have settings for Sensitivity and Level of Detection
The higher the Sensitivity is the faster it reacts to pixel changes on the
Field of View
Level of Detection is normally used to ignore constant false positives,
when you raise the level of detection you are asking the camera to ignore
anything below the line in the picture below

5. Click on the blue rectangle box to draw your Detection Area onto the Camera View, left click and drag from the top right to the bottom left (Figure 3)
