This article will take you through the general wiring principles of a door lock.
Step By Step Guide:
- Select the lock type between N.O. (Normally Open / Fail Secure) and N.C. (Normally Closed / Fail Safe) for the Alarm output 2, and set the duration under the Alarm output setting.
- If 12VDC power is directly connected to the intercom (it is recommended to use at least 2A power supply to provide 550mA out of the intercom.
- The diagram below is for a Normally Open setup.
- The diagram below is for a Normally Closed door lock.
- If you are dealing with an N.O. lock that requires more than 550mA, connect a power supply with a higher amperage to the intercom as below.
