Issue Summary
AXIS cameras are not appearing in HealthPro Bridge during the discovery process.
Resolution
To resolve the issue:
- Ensure the VAPIX version is v1.0 or higher.
Refer to the AXIS website for instructions on determining the VAPIX version for your device and firmware.
- Confirm that HealthPro Bridge can access the AXIS cameras over the network. They must be on the same subnet or accessible through the same gateway.
- If HealthPro Bridge is installed on a WAVE server or the AXIS cameras are used on a WAVE server, follow these steps to disable auto-discovery.
a. Log in to your Wisenet WAVE system.
b. Navigate to the Main Menu, then System Administration (Ctrl+Alt+A).
c. Click the General tab.
d. Under System Settings, uncheck the box next to Enable devices and servers auto discovery.
d. Click OK to apply changes.
- Using the camera’s web interface, navigate to the AXIS camera settings, and ensure the following Network discovery protocols are enabled:
Bonjour
UPnP
WS-Discovery
- In the camera’s web interface’s network settings, verify that the AXIS camera is using the default HTTP or HTTPS ports. Supported ports are: 80 or 443.
- If all of the above conditions are met but HealthPro Bridge still cannot discover the AXIS camera, run the discovery_bonjour.exe file (download) on the PC where HealthPro Bridge is installed.
