Summary

This article explains the limitations of cameras when used with the Cloud Gateway Appliance. 

Selecting a Camera

When choosing a Hanwha Camera:

1. Select a Hanwha Camera from the Cloud Gateway Appliance compatible list: OnCloud: What cameras are supported? 

When choosing an ONVIF Camera:

1. Select an ONVIF camera that is compliant with the ONVIF protocol.
   

NOTE: Full functionality is only supported with cameras that implement the ONVIF protocol 
per the ONVIF specification.

NOTE: Cameras that do not implement the complete protocol, or implement the protocol 
incorrectly, may experience reduced functionality or unexpected behavior.

Incompatible Camera Issues

Incompatible cameras may experience one or more of the following issues:

1. 1. Recordings are not stored.
      
      
   2. Recording status may not be properly reported in the UI.
