Summary:

You can use this guide for troubleshooting an existing hard drive or adding a new drive that shows the error as foreign or unconfigured.

Warning: This guide will initialize, erase and clear a hard drive. 
Please make sure that your data is backed up before proceeding.

Step By Step Guide:

1. Open the Megaraid UI

2. Log into the MegaRaid UI

Note: The credentials are normally linked to your Windows credentials

3. Select Physical (Figure 1)

4. Select Go To (Figure 1)

5. Select Controller (Figure 1)

6. Select Scan Configuration (Figure 1)

7. Select Clear: Remove logical configuration from all foreign drives (Figure 2)

8. Click OK to The foreign Configuration has been Cleared Successfully (Figure 3)
