Summary:

This article provides the steps for checking the status of a service in Linux.

Step By Step Guide:

1. Open the terminal in Linux.
   
   
2. Enter sudo -s then provide the Linux credentials.
   

   NOTE: Entering root may only be necessary for some steps. However, this 
   method avoids constantly providing credentials during terminal sessions.
