Applies to Models: Wisenet Device Manager
Summary:
Wisenet Device Manager is a program used to manage multiple IP network devices such as Hanwha cameras, encoders, decoders, intercoms, DVRs, or embedded NVRs. It can locate these devices on your network so you can modify their IP address. However, Wisenet Device Manager can only listen to camera broadcasts if the cameras are on the same IP range or subnet as the computer running the software.
To ensure Wisenet Device Manager identifies your camera correctly, you may need to configure it to search the specific IP range of your network. This article provides instructions for forcing Wisenet Device Manager to search the desired IP range on your computer.
Step By Step Guide:
If your computer has multiple network interface cards, select the correct one that communicates directly with the camera network.
NOTE: Due to certain types of Network Security, you may be unable to use this
tool on a client network since it is an IP Scan tool and can be blocked.
In some cases, if the IP address has changed, a communication error could occur until the ARP table matches the MAC address with the new IP address.
To avoid this, click Network > Delete ARP to reset the ARP table.
To search the desired IP range:
- Open the Wisenet Device Manager application.
NOTE: Download the latest version of Wisenet Device Manager and its manual.
In the lower left-hand corner, you will see Network Status.
- Right-click the network to search.
If there are multiple networks on your PC, right-click the network you want to scan and left-click Enable.
- Click the Search (
) button.
