Issue Summary:
In the WAVE Client, the Auto setting in the Expert tab can cause intermittent camera issues. When a camera Auto connects via UDP, the connection may drop because UDP does not check for errors in the transmission. Forcing the transport to TCP can correct this. This article provides instructions for correcting a network error that might be due to some cameras using UDP as a transmission protocol instead of TCP.
Resolution:
To force the transport to TCP:
- Log in to the WAVE Client.
- In the resource tree on the left, right-click the camera experiencing issues and click Camera Settings.
- Click the Expert tab.
- In the Media Streaming section, select TCP from the RTP Transport dropdown menu.
- Click Apply.
