Summary
The Handover feature enables a camera to send a preset Event to a secondary camera. This article provides instructions for setting up the Handover feature, which is available on select camera models.
To maintain standards, Hanwha Vision uses the web UI for all knowledge base articles about product configuration. Open Chrome, enter the IP Address of your device into the URL bar, and press enter. If you are not using the web UI to configure your device, please refer to the user manual for your product.
Setting up the Handover Feature
Steps required to set the action:
- Log in as admin and click the Gear (
) icon.
- In the navigation bar on the left, click Event > Handover.
- Click Add.
- Select your preset number from the No. dropdown menu.
- Select either IPV4 or IPV6 from the IP Type dropdown menu.
- Enter the IP address of the unit to receive the Handover command.
- Enter the IP Port of the camera (usually 80).
- Enter the Username and Password for the Admin account.
- Enter the Preset no. you are going to trigger, then click OK.
The sending camera sees a motion Event and sends the Handover command to the receiving camera(s). The receiving camera(s) then moves to the preset position specified in the Handover command.
