Summary
This article explains how to configure a non-AI camera for IVA Line-Crossing events and how to confirm that configured Line-Crossing events are occurring in the camera logs.
Configuring IVA Line Crossing
- Navigate to the camera's IP address in your browser.
- Log in as admin.
- Click on the gear to go to the camera setup screen.
- Navigate to Basic > Date & Time.
- Set the proper Date & Time to identify logging events correctly.
- Navigate to Analytics > IVA > Virtual Line tab.
- Select the checkboxes to enable IVA and Crossing.
- Click on the screen and drag the line across the intended area.
- Line crossing events can be uni-directional or bi-directional, so select the best option for your scenario.
NOTE: Move the line forward or backward to increase or decrease
events until the output is what you are looking for. - On the Common tab, verify the Minimum and Maximum settings are correct for your application:
- In the image below, the event you are trying to capture must be larger than the blue box. For example: the blue box should be smaller than a car in the image.
- The orange box in the image below is for the Maximum setting. This should be set so the object is smaller than the largest object. For example: the orange box should be larger than a car in the image.
- In the image below, the event you are trying to capture must be larger than the blue box. For example: the blue box should be smaller than a car in the image.
- Once your Line Crossing analytic is configured, verify that it is being executed by navigating to System > Log > Event Log and locate your IVA Event.
