To maintain standards, Hanwha Vision uses the web UI for all knowledge base articles about product configuration. Open Chrome, enter the IP Address of your device into the URL bar, and press enter. If you are not using the web UI to configure your device, please refer to the user manual for your product.

Summary:

Setting up SMTP on recorders and cameras is straightforward. However, you might need to consult with your IT administrator or email provider, as some, like Google, may classify these devices as "Less Secure" and restrict their access to email servers. This article provides instructions for setting up SMTP email accounts on a camera or NVR.    

Step By Step Guide Camera:

To set up an SMTP email account:

1. Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the camera you wish to connect to, then press Enter.
   
   
2. Log into the Camera and navigate to Setup -> Event -> FTP/E-Mail.
   
   

3. Enter information into all the necessary fields.
   
   
   

4. Click Apply. The camera will attempt a test connection, providing a pass or fail message.
   

Step By Step Guide NVR:

1. Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the NVR you wish to connect to, then press Enter.
   
   

2. Log into the NVR and navigate to Setup -> Network -> E-mail.
   
   

3. Enter the appropriate Server address, Port, ID and Password.
   
   
   
4. Click Event and set the Interval (This function limits the delivery interval in seconds or minutes. )
   
   
   
5. Click the Recipient tab to add Group information giving a Name to the group you wish to create.  To create more than one Group, click the people () icon.  Click Apply when you are done entering Group names.
   
   
   
6. Add a recipient by clicking the person+ icon ().
   
   
   • Select the Group name.
   • Enter the recipient Name.
   • Enter their E-mail address.
     
     
     
7. Click Apply (repeat to add more users).
