Summary:
The P2P function is a cloud service that allows the mobile app full access to compatible recorders for viewing live video, PTZ controls, fisheye de-warping, search and playback, and bookmarks. This feature eliminates the configuration of multiple port forwarding rules on your router, DDNS, or static IP addresses. This article provides instructions for using the P2P function in NVR.
Video:
NOTE: If the P2P fails to automatically establish connectivity in our newer
NVRs, open the HTTP and RTSP ports on the client's router and forward them
to the NVR's internal IP.
You can test the DDNS connection by entering the following into a browser on
a device, not on the client's network:
https://ddns.hanwha-security.com/<Product ID>
If the connection succeeds, the NVR will ask for login credentials. If it
fails, you will see the client's current public IP. This will verify that
the recorder has registered itself.
Step By Step Guide:
To use the P2P function, click Network > DDNS & P2P and check the Enable checkbox.
NOTE: If P2P fails to get to our cloud servers, P2P may not work on that
network due to network/ISP restrictions or the network settings being
incorrect to access the Internet. Check Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and
DNS settings. If P2P is not possible on your site, manually open ports
and route traffic to the NVR via consultation with the clients' ISP.
