This article details how to install hardware for Edge recording.

Installing Hardware

To add storage, mount the camera, and connect to the network: 

1. For storage, refer to the camera documentation of the specific model for detailed instructions on how to install the SD card into the camera housing.
   
   
2. Mount the camera in the desired location. Refer to the camera and accessory documentation for detailed instructions on proper installation including power requirements and mounting hardware. 
   
   
3. Connect the camera to the network. If it is not already physically connected, plug in the required network cable. The camera is set to acquire an IP address via DHCP by default.
