Summary

SightMind can be used to create dashboards and widgets tied to devices at locations, organized in a tree for easy access. This method is very convenient when such details can be hard-coded into the dashboard and widgets.

An alternative method, called Analytics, offers a more dynamic approach, where you can instantly and continuously change which type of statistics you are interested in, and on which cameras and locations.

Supported AI Rules and Charts

The Analytics function supports all the same types of AI rules as found in SightMind widgets:

• Cumulative people counting - the number of people that cross a line.
  
  
• People occupancy - the net number of people in a space, using the difference of the number of people that entered and left.
  
  
• People flow - the rate that people that cross a line given a time interval.
  
  
• People queues - the length of a queue of people waiting.
  
  
• Slip and fall - the number of people that have slipped and fallen.
  
  
• Crowd counting - the number of people in a given scene.
  
  
• Cumulative shopping cart count - the number of shopping carts that have crossed a line.
  
  
• Shopping cart in use - the net number of shopping carts in a space, using the difference of the number of shopping carts that entered and left.
  
  
• Shopping cart queues - the length of a queue of shopping carts.
  
  

• Cumulative vehicle count - the number of vehicles that have crossed a line.
  
  

• Vehicle queues (the length of a vehicle queue).
  
  

• Stopped vehicles analytics (the number of vehicles that have stopped).
  
  

• Slow traffic - the number of times traffic has slowed.

Creating Analytics

To create an analytic:

1. Log in to SightMind with username and password.
   
   
2. Click on the Analytics icon. 
   
   
   
   A blank page appears to analyze data. 
   
   
   
   
3. Select a time period.
   
   
   
   

4. Click Location, and select the locations, cameras, and specific AI rules to analyze.
   
   
   
   

5. Click OK > Search.
   
   
   
   

   A chart for each type of AI rule appears for your selected locations.

   NOTE: You may have to scroll down to see them all.

   
   
   
   

Seeing the Big Picture

The Analytics tool is a powerful way to see the big picture. In the example below, a year of data of Slip and Falls for all cameras at all locations only takes moments to generate. Certain cameras do not require deselection and rules just because they are providing different statistics; just hide the irrelevant charts.

Then, by dragging the timeline slider at the bottom, zoom in to the most useful time window.

Viewing Options

To hide or show certain charts, or to change their order:

1. Click Ordering.
   
   
   
   
2. Click the eye icon to hide/expose the chart. Drag and drop each row to achieve the desired sequence.
   
   
   
   

3. Click Total to show the drop down to alternate between cumulative totals and intervals.

   NOTE: Currently, the Line button only shows line charts. As more options

4. Click Time Interval to change the Hour/Day/Week/Month group-by timing interval.

Managing Analytics

To save your analytics:

1. Click Save.
   
   
   
   

2. Name the report and click Save.
   
   
   
   

   It appears in the drop-down list of analytics.
   
   

    

3. To rename or remove an analytic, click the ellipsis button.
