Issue Summary
When using the preset-swing operation with a XNP-6400RW camera at a high zoom ratio, you may experience a shaky video. This issue is often characterized by the entire screen shaking or vibrating excessively, or the image appearing overlapped in multiple layers.
This issue is typically caused when you install a PTZ camera with a high zoom ratio at a distance and then zoom in to the maximum magnification. At such high zoom magnification, even small external factors (wind, vibration, radiant heat, etc.) can cause large vibrations in the video.
This article provides guidance on resolving this issue.
Resolution
To correct a shaking screen when using a PTZ camera:
- Avoid using the camera at maximum zoom ratio in long-term monitoring environments
- Adjust the camera's movement speed to the next preset position (slow)
NOTE: Slower movement speeds can help reduce the impact of vibrations and
result in a smoother video.
(larger number = faster movement speed, smaller number = slower movement speed)
