WAVE: How to run the Media Server on NVIDIA Jetson

Summary:

The Wisenet WAVE Media Server, like other Ubuntu-based systems, is supported on Ubuntu Linux. This article provides the instructions for running the Media Server on the NVIDIA Jetson.

Step By Step Guide:

Installing on NVIDIA Jetson Ubuntu via Cockpit Terminal

  1. Open the camera Cockpit web interface and log in at http://cameraip:9090

  2. Navigate to Terminal and run the following commands:


  3. Use the following command to begin the installation process:

    mkdir ~/WAVE && cd ~/WAVE && wget https://updates.WAVEvms.com/hanwha/39503/arm/WAVE-server-6.0.0.39503-linux_arm64.deb && sudo dpkg -i *.deb && sudo apt-get -f install

Initialization

Before initializing, ensure TCP Port 7001 is open:

  1. In a web browser, enter the IP address of the camera and login as admin.

  2. Click the Gear icon at the top of the page, then select Basic > IP & Port and click the Port tab.
  3. In the jetson port section, check the box next to Enable, then click Apply.


To initialize WAVE Media Server:

  1. In a web browser, enter the IP address of the camera and add :7001 (ex: 192.168.1.100:7001).

  2. Click to begin the Setup Wizard.
