To maintain standards, Hanwha Vision uses the web UI for all knowledge base articles about product configuration. Open Chrome, enter the IP Address of your device into the URL bar, and press enter. If you are not using the web UI to configure your device, please refer to the user manual for your product.
Issue Summary:
When you log into the camera, the screen greys out, preventing access to setup mode. This issue can occur in any camera where the sensor is either offline or missing.
Cameras with modular sensors, such as covert cameras that support custom cable connections, are more likely to encounter this problem. The sensor only comes online if the technician plugs it in before booting the camera.
Resolution:
Use the pre-made cable with the sensor module for testing.
If you need to access the camera's interface to configure the IP or other settings, refresh your browser and quickly click the Gear ()icon to enter setup before the camera UI turns grey.
