Summary:
This article provides instructions for installing and activating the AI Plugin for Wisenet WAVE VMS.
Step By Step Guide:
Installing on Windows

Ensure you have Wisenet WAVE Server installed on your machine.
- Download the AI Plugin Installer from the official website.

Click Install to run the AI Plugin installer on the machine where the Wisenet WAVE Server is installed.

Check the box next to Activate a trial license (you can also activate it after installation is complete), then click Next.
- Click Finish.

Restart (stop and start again) the Wisenet WAVE Server.
This action is necessary for the plugin to be detected by Wisenet WAVE VMS.

Verify the installation.
a. Open the WAVE Client.
b. Click the Hamburger Menu in the top left corner (or press Ctrl+Alt+A) and select System Administration.
c. Click the Plugins tab.
d. Confirm the WAVE AI plugin is listed in the menu on the left.
Installing on Linux
To install the AI Plugin for Wisenet WAVE VMS on a Linux platform:

Ensure you have Wisenet WAVE Server installed on your machine.

Open a terminal window to access your terminal application.
This can typically be found in your system's applications menu.

Enter the following the automated installation script, then press Enter to execute the command.
curl -sqko - https://get.cvedia.com/wave | sudo bash
This script will automatically download and install the AI plugin for Wisenet WAVE VMS.NOTES:
* Follow the on-screen prompts.
* During the installation process, you may be prompted to enter your system
password to grant the necessary permissions. Enter your password and press
Enter.
* The script will handle the download and installation of all required
components. Please wait until the installation is complete. - Open the Wisenet WAVE VMS application and check the Plugin section to verify the plugin installed.
Enabling the Plugin
To enable the AI Plugin:

Open the Wisenet WAVE VMS Client and connect to the server where you installed the AI Plugin.

Right-click a connected camera or video stream and select Camera Settings.

Click the Plugins tab and toggle the plugin to ON, then click Apply.
NOTE: Analytics work only when the camera is being viewed or recording
is enabled. If you do not see the toggle to enable the plugin, click
WAVE AI on the left sidebar. -
Apply a license to activate the plugin, and configure the analytics from the left sidebar menu.

Click OK to save the settings.

Click OBJECTS on the top right to preview the detected objects.

To generate events, define the camera rules in WAVE.
a. Right-click the camera and select Camera Rules.
b. Add a new rule based on Analytic Events.

event was triggered. The system shows the best available crop based on the
object size and detection confidence level, to prevent showing occluded or
partially cut objects.

Applying a License to Activate the Plugin
To activate the AI Plugin:

From the Wisenet WAVE Client, navigate to Camera Settings and click the Plugins tab.

Click Licenses on the left side menu panel.

Enter a trial license or apply a purchased key (keys) in the License key field.

Click Assign key and Apply the settings before closing the window.
NOTES:
* Once activated, the license is bound to the device (the WAVE server).
* The number of streams indicates a maximum number of concurrent cameras running
analytics. To increase this limit, obtain a new license with additional streams
and activate it.
* To use the same license key on a different device, click the Revoke Key in the
Licenses window to deactivate it.
