Summary:

In order for OnGuard to properly access the cameras registered to your Wisenet WAVE system, the creation of a new user and user role is recommended. This will allow you to assign the appropriate privileges and choose which cameras within your Wisenet WAVE system will be used with your OnGuard integration. This article provides the instructions for preparing Wisenet WAVE for integration into OnGuard by creating a new user.

Step By Step Guide:

To create a new user:

1. Log in to Wisenet WAVE client.
   
   
2. Right-click Users from the menu bar on the left and select New User.
   
   
3. Enter a Login name and Password, then click Edit Roles.
   
   
   
4. Click New role.
   
   
   
5. In the Role info tab, enter the new role Name. 
   
   
   
6. Click the Permissions tab and enable ALL available checkboxes.
   
   
   
7. Click the Cameras & Resources tab and select the checkboxes for the cameras to integrate into OnGuard.
   
   
   
8. Click OK to save the new role and exit the setup window.
   
   You will return to the New User window.
   
   
9. From the Role dropdown menu, select the role you just created.
   
   
   
10. Click the three dots in the lower left corner of the window and click Allow digest authentication for this user. This is needed to properly view video in OnGuard.
    
    
    
11. If prompted, reenter the password for this user and click OK when done.
