Step By Step Guide:
Adjust the LED brightness of your barcode camera
- Open a web browser and navigate to the IP address of the camera.
- Enter the admin username and password.
- On the Live Screen, click CH 1 and click the Barcode icon to open the configuration menu seen below. (CH 1: Monochrome lens for barcode reading and CH 2: is the Visible lens)
- Check LED Enable and adjust the Brightness by using the slide bar to ensure the barcode is clearly visible on the screen.
Adjust the focus of your barcode camera
- Remove the lens cover by loosening the fastening screws using the Torx L wrench provided.
- Adjust the focus turning the fixing screws of the lenses.
Check scanned barcode data from camera webviewer
- Navigate to: Setup -> Analytics -> WiseBCR. The application will open in a new tab.
- In the new tab, navigate to Setup and uncheck the Barcode de-duplication option if you are testing with the same barcode. This option will allow you to scan the same barcode repeatedly.
- Select the Barcode menu to verify that the barcode data is being scanned accurately by viewing the displayed list in the Barcode scan history list.
- On the live screen of the WiseBCR application, the scanned barcode will show:
- Barcode type
- Barcode data
- Barcode size
Troubleshooting: If the barcode camera cannot scan the barcode
- Make sure the barcode size on the screen is a minimum of 1.3 PPM to a maximum of 7 PPM.
- Make sure the focus is correctly adjusted. You can digitally zoom-in with the mouse wheel from the live screen page to verify the details.
