This article provides instructions for setting up a SolidEDGE camera system.
Step By Step Guide:
Installation
To install a SolidEDGE camera system:
- Open Wisenet Device Manager and select the SolideEDGE camera you want to setup.
- Click Credential and select Login / Change PW from the dropdown menu.
- Enter an initial password and click Apply.
- Click IP Assign to set the IP address and other IP settings, then click Apply.
NOTE: The camera typically defaults to DHCP which is not recommended
for your VMS server. - Click FW and select FW Status Check from the dropdown menu.
- Ensure the FW Status column indicates Latest.
IMPORTANT: If the camera firmware version is lower than 2.21.03, firmware
updates should be done now. - Double-click the camera in Device Manager to open the camera's web page in a web browser.
- Sign in with the username and password created in step 2.
- Click the Gear () icon then click Basic > Date & Time from the menu on the left side of the screen.
- Verify the camera's Date & Time, Time zone, and Daylight saving time settings are correct then click Apply.
IMPORTANT: It is recommended to use Network Time Protocol (NTP) to sync
the camera's clock to an external time server. - Navigate to Event > Storage.
- In the App installation section, click the Start button to start the WAVE Media Server.
New System Setup
To setup a new system:
- Download and install the WAVE Client for your Operating System.
- Open the WAVE application and click the New System tile.
- Click Setup New System.
- Enter a system name in the Enter System Name field, then click Next.
- Click Advanced System settings and select the needed options.
NOTE: Enable device auto discovery automatically discovers all the
devices on your network. - Click Next to complete the server settings.
