The Wisenet Road AI LPR application is a ready-to-go embedded license plate recognition (LPR) solution included with specific P-series camera models. This pre-loaded and licensed application leverages Road AI technology to identify key vehicle details, including the license plate, manufacturer, model, and color. This article provides instructions for configuring the application and integrating it with WAVE.
Step By Step Guide:
NOTE: The Wisenet Road AI LPR application can only be used with cameras
that originally shipped with Wisenet Road AI and will not install or
operate on other camera models.
Configuring Road AI Camera Settings
To configure the Road AI camera settings:
- Navigate to the app by going to the URL of the camera in a browser and selecting Settings > Open Platform > Go App to access the application.
- Select the Settings menu in the application.

Select the Region that matches your country/region.
The default region is USA. -
Select the Plate capture mode.

Low speed mode - For 4K resolution (Model: PNO/PNV-A9081RLP)

High performance mode - For Full HD resolution (Model: PNB-A9001LP)

- Check or uncheck the Show plate grid checkbox under Plate size measurement to display or hide the plate grid.
Adjust the plate size settings for Min/Max as needed. -
Under Zones management, add a license plate recognition area to define areas for license plate detection.

Click Wizard to use the guided setup option to configure your application.

Click Freeze frame to capture and analyze a static image.

Click Recommended camera settings to apply the optimal default settings for your camera.
Integrating with WAVE
There are three options for integration:
- JSON via HTTP(s) integration
- NVR integration - You will need the NVR IP address and port for configuration.
- WAVE integration - You will need the WAVE IP address, port, and credentials for setup.
NOTE: WAVE version 5.1.1.xxxx and above will support the full meta data.
