Summary:
The first step in working with Cloud solutions is preparing and onboarding compatible cameras to the Hanwha Vision Cloud platform. This article provides the necessary information.
Prerequisites:
Before onboarding a camera, you need the following:
- An Organization already set up within Cloud Portal with Admin access
- Compatible camera models
Refer to the following article: Hanwha Vision Cloud Product Compatibility
This depends on:- The type of connectivity you are using (direct or indirect)
- The Cloud application you are using (OnCloud, DMPro, SightMind, or FLEX AI)
- Latest camera app
- CloudConnector app for connecting a camera directly to the cloud
- WiseAI app for running a FLEX AI model
- Latest camera firmware
- Software licenses
- Free temporary trial licenses expire after a short time, and are available upon request at insidesales@hanwha.com.
- Paid subscription licenses are available through a STEP Partner.
Connectivity
Direct-to-cloud cameras require the installation of the CloudConnector app on the camera. You need the one that matches the camera model.
Indirect-to-cloud cameras, such as those connecting through the Cloud Gateway Appliance or DM Bridge software, do not need the CloudConnector app. You will still need the latest firmware, but you will be configuring the Cloud Gateway Appliance or DM Bridge.
NOTE: All cameras should always be updated to the latest firmware.
Once you have the appropriate firmware, and CloudConnector app (if required), follow the steps in this article to install them.
Firmware
Hanwha offers two options to obtain the latest officially supported firmware:
-
Option 1 - We recommend using Wisenet Device Manager to download the most current firmware and update devices in bulk.
