DMPro: How do I assign and check the status of tasks?

This article provides the instructions for viewing all tasks and their progress in one place. You will also see tasks needing to be resolved and how to assign a task to an engineer.

Checking the Task Status

A task to be resolved will occur if any errors or warnings occur in Cameras, Servers, or Storage Units, or they are Offline.

  • Error - Abnormal errors occurred.

  • Warning - A non-critical but uncommon situation is occurring. If this situation persists, it will prevent them from functioning normally.

  • Offline - They are offline.

To check the task status:

  1. In Cloud Portal, navigate to DMPro.

  2. In the navigation panel on the left side of the screen, click the Dashboard () icon. 

    The Notifications center will appear on the right side of the screen.


    If you are in the Settings menu, you will see the Notifications () icon in the top-right corner. Click the icon to open the Notifications center panel.


    The Notifications center shows you the following three task states:

    • Occurred - Indicates that the task is open and ready to be assigned to an engineer

    • Assigned - Indicates that an engineer has accepted the task

    • Resolved - Indicates that an engineer resolved the task

  3. Select a location under Locations and toggle Current Location ON to see the tasks applicable to the selected location.

    Toggle Current Location OFF to see the tasks status applicable to all locations.

Assigning a Task

To assign a task to an engineer to be resolved:

  1. In Cloud Portal, navigate to DMPro.

  2. In the navigation panel on the left side of the screen, click the Dashboard () icon. 

    The Notifications center will appear on the right side of the screen.


    If you are in the Settings menu, you will see the Notifications () icon in the top-right corner. Click the icon to open the Notifications center panel.


  3. Under All or Occurred, select a task to assign to an engineer and click Assign.
  4. On Occurred, select an engineer to assign the task to and click Assign.


    The engineer will accept and resolve the task.


    The status of the task will be changed to Resolved.
