Summary
Three solutions within Hanwha Vision Cloud (OnCloud, HealthPro, and SightMind) all rely on cameras and other devices having reliable network connectivity to Cloud Portal. This article details the network requirements for these solutions.
Network Requirements
IP address
You must assign cameras an IPv4 address to communicate on the local network, either manually or through DHCP.
Firewall
Required open port: 443
The network must support these protocols:

- RTP and SRTP
- DTLS
- RTSP

Date and Time
NOTE: You must enable Network Time Protocol (NTP) for your network.
The camera time must be accurate for security reasons. Use an NTP server and select the correct time zone for the camera.
DNS
The camera must be configured with a DNS1 and DNS2 that can reliably resolve. Google's 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8 are trustworthy default choices. If your specified DNS fails, you could experience connectivity or streaming issues.
Camera Bandwidth
Your network must be able to handle the upstream and downstream traffic for your cameras. This is particularly important for OnCloud.
Cloud-connected cameras impact both local and wide-area networks. A stream from a camera uses upload bandwidth. A client that requests a stream uses download bandwidth. Consider this when deciding on your upload and download speeds with your ISP.

Power
If you use Power over Ethernet (PoE) for your cameras, the network must supply enough power.
You can power Hanwha cameras and the CGA-1610 Cloud Gateway Appliance using PoE. This means that you need to provide power using the network switch or a PoE injector. For specifics on power requirements, check each device’s datasheet.
Keep in mind that PoE switches have both per-port and total power limitations. It's common for a PoE switch to be limited to (number of ports) x (max power per port). Exceeding this capacity can cause unpredictable results.
