Summary:
Use this guide to set up notifications for events. For example, you can receive a notification when a camera detects a person or vehicle.
Step By Step Guide:
Create a notification
- In OnCloud, click the bell icon at the top right:
This takes you to the Notifications screen, which shows notifications that you have received.
- Click Notification Settings.
- Click Setup a New Notification.
This opens the Create Notification dialog.
- Type in a title and click Continue.
Select event triggers
On the Select Event Trigger screen, you can select the events to detect for the notification:
- To select events, click the checkboxes beside them.
- Click Continue at the bottom.
Select cameras
On the Location & Devices screen, you can pick cameras for the notification:
- Select a single location. Click the chevrons to show areas and cameras within the location.
- Select the cameras that you want to monitor. You can also use the checkboxes to select all cameras for an area or location:

Click Continue.
Set a schedule
On the Schedule screen, you can select a schedule for the notification:
- To continue without setting a schedule, click Skip.
- To add a schedule, click the plus , then click the days and times when you want the notification to be active. Then click Create:

To add more active periods, click Add New Schedule. You can use the switches to turn each on or off.

To confirm the schedule, click Continue.
This opens the User screen or the Notification Type screen, depending on your permissions.
Add other users
By default, you receive the notification that you create.
If you are an administrator, you see the User screen, where you can add other people. If you aren't an administrator, you continue to the Notification Type screen.
- To continue without adding other people, click Skip at the bottom.
- To add others, select the checkboxes beside their names.
- Click Continue.
Set the notification type
On the Notification Type screen, you can select how you want to receive the notification:
- Select Email, Push Notification, or both. You always receive the notification in your browser.
- Click Create.
This saves and turns on the notification.
