Summary:
Use this guide to view a single camera. You can also browse by time and by event.
Step By Step Guide:
Use basic controls
- In OnCloud, click Cameras in the top menu. Then click the name of a camera to open it.
- To pause the video, click pause . Click again to play.
- To mute and unmute the video, click the speaker .
- To move forward and backward in time, click and drag the timeline:
- The dots on the timeline are events, such as a person or vehicle moving.
To move between events, click the skip buttons .
You can also set these buttons to skip a set number of seconds.
Click the gear , then click Scrub Speed.
- To show the video in full screen, click the expand button .
To close the full-screen view, click the contract button .
- To see the live video, click Go Live.
Browse by date and time
- To show video for a certain date and time, click the calendar icon above the timeline.
Select a date and time, then click Apply.
- To change the scale of the timeline, click the Mins button.
The button toggles between minutes, seconds, and days.
- To change the speed of playback, click the 1X button. You can watch at up to 8X speed.
Browse events
- The menu on the right shows events. Click an event in the list to show it:
- To filter by event type, click the sliders .
Click the switches to select event types, then click Apply.
- To show events for a certain date and time, click the calendar beside the sliders icon.
Select a date and time, then click Apply.
- To look for events in part of the video, click the grid icon . Then click and drag on the video to select an area for events. You can also move and resize the selection.
The list on the right updates to show events in that part of the video feed:
Save images and video
- To save an image, click the camera .
- To save a video clip, click the film strip . See OnCloud: How do I create a clip?
Control the camera
- For compatible cameras, you can change the pan-tilt-zoom. Click the gear , then click Pan Tilt Zoom.
- If you are an administrator, you can access camera settings from here. Click the gear , then click All Camera Settings. See OnCloud: How do I change camera settings?
