Licensing Hanwha Vision Cloud Products

Summary

With the launch of Hanwha Vision Cloud, Hanwha Vision introduced a more streamlined licensing process. This article describes the licensing process from purchasing to final activation.

Prerequisites

To purchase a license, STEP Partners can either go through a Hanwha Vision Distributor, or purchase it online with instant delivery through SalesHub in the STEP Partner portal.

To activate OnCloud, HealthPro, or SightMind licenses, you need access to Cloud Portal.

NOTE: The activation process varies depending on the kind of license.
Some are assigned to a specific camera, others to an organization.

To license a camera to run an AI Pack, you need:

  • Access to the camera via the camera's web UI

  • An Internet-connected smartphone with a camera to scan a barcode (for activating cameras that are not accessible via the Internet)

  • A single-sensor P series camera (time on the camera must be accurate or licensing will fail)

Purchasing a License

STEP Partners can purchase a license in two ways: through SalesHub for instant order fulfilment, or through a Distributor. To purchase through SalesHub, refer to SalesHub: How do I manage purchased licenses?

NOTE: STEP Partners can purchase licenses via distributors, but fulfillment is 
not instantaneous.

Activating Subscription Licenses

Cloud Portal 

Purchased licenses are added first to Cloud Portal, refer to Cloud Portal: How do I manage licenses?

OnCloud

To activate an OnCloud license on a camera, refer to OnCloud: How do I license my cameras?

HealthPro

To activate HealthPro, refer to How do I launch HealthPro?

SightMind

Activating a Perpetual AI Pack License

NOTE: AI Packs use perpetual licenses and may not be detached nor
removed from the camera, and are non-transferable to other cameras.

Hanwha Vision AI Packs address unique market-specific needs. Licenses for these can be purchased through Distribution or SalesHub. These are all perpetual licenses, and not-transferrable to other cameras.

AI Pack licenses may be activated online or offline, and require replacing the WiseAI app with the industry-specific one. The process is described in the attached AI Pack Quick Start Guide.
