Summary:
Dell Support Assist is an executable desktop application that can scan for hardware or hard drive issues.
This tool can run and display hardware diagnostics on the desktop and will not require a reboot or restart, which
means there is no downtime.
Step By Step Guide:
1. Download and install Dell Support Assist
2. The Support Assist software will auto-run after you finish the installation
3. If you are asked to complete a profile, click Remind Me Later (Figure 1)

4. Support Assist will auto-scan for the first time
5. Let the initial scan finish; it will not scan the hard drives on the initial auto-scan
6. Click Run All (Figure 2)

7. If Support Assist finds any errors, take a screenshot and Send it to Support (Figure 3)

Step By Step Guide for Multiple Hard Drives:
1. Download HD Tune
Note: This can read the HDD SMART health status and highlight the issues. HD Tune.com
2. Select the Health tab (Figure 1)
3. Select Hard Drive (Figure 1)
4. Check Health Status for errors (Figure 1)
5. Check for bad sectors (Figure 1)
6. Take note of the Reallocated Sector Count (Figure 1)
7. Take a screenshot and Send it to Support
