Use this page to close an incident after you finish investigating.
Step By Step Guide:
Before starting, create an incident (see How do I create an incident?).
Close an incident
- In OnCloud, click Incidents in the top menu. Then click an incident in the list to open it.
- Click the Close Incident button at the top right.
This opens the Close Incident dialog.
- Click the circle beside Resolved or Unresolved to select the status.
- To pick a custom closing date, click the Close Date field. You can pick a date from the calendar, or you can type a date in MM/DD/YYYY format.
- To pick a custom closing time, click the Close Time field. You can click the clock icon to pick a time, or you can type a time in 12-hour format.
- Click the Final Analysis field to type in your closing notes.
- Click the Confirm button.
Reopen an incident
You can also reopen a closed incident.
- Click the Reopen button at the top right.
- Click the Confirm button.
View closing notes and the status log
You can check closing notes and an incident's status log.
- Click the Details tab near the top.
- Scroll down to the Status section.
You can see the current status here.
- Click View Status Log to the right.
This opens the full history of the event. You can see all closing notes and status changes. The most recent status is at the top.
