What is DM Bridge?
DM Bridge is an on-premises internet bridging software application that connects cameras to DMPro, which runs in the cloud. It is designed to facilitate health monitoring and firmware updates.
It does not carry video, and so may not be used to connect cameras to OnCloud.
It does not carry metadata, and so may not be used to connect cameras to SightMind.
What are the alternatives to DM Bridge?
The only alternative connectivity option is the CloudConnector app running on compatible cameras.
Using the CloudConnector app also makes the camera compatible with OnCloud and SightMind.
The CloudConnector app currently only allows DMPro to monitor camera health, and cannot do firmware updates. For firmware updates you must use DM Bridge.
What are the minimum specifications

What is the maximum number of cameras that can be connected to a single DM Bridge?
Up to 200 devices may be connected.
How do I update my DM Bridge?
DM Bridge auto-updates itself. By default this happens at 3am local time. This is configurable by going to the application in the system tray.
Following the update DM becomes momentarily unavailable, but this will not cause attached cameras to generate offline errors in DMPro.
What kinds of cameras can be connected to DM Bridge?
They must be Hanwha Vision cameras, and be either Wisenet 5 or later.
How do I recover a lost password?
Uninstall and reinstall DM Bridge.
The serial number for the communication with cloud remains unchanged.
How do I modify the admin password and create different users?
To reset the admin password, uninstall and reinstall DM Bridge.
Currently, changing the admin password and creating other users is not supported.
How do I resolve a 'Server not found' error?
Verify that DM Bridge is installed and ensure the corresponding services are running.
What do I do when the SAVE button for Org ID and Short name is grayed out?
Enter the Org ID and Short name in the correct format to activate the button.
It is important to store a correct Org ID and Short name because DM Bridge does not show Org ID and Short name for verification information.
How do I register DM Bridge to Cloud Portal?
A correct Org ID and Short name is required to be saved and the serial number provided to Cloud Portal for the registration.
How do I discover and connect cameras with DM Bridge?
You can detect and connect devices via auto discovery or manually.

How do I troubleshoot when all of my cameras are disconnected in the cloud?
- Ensure DeviceManagerServer service and CloudConnector is running as a service.
- Ensure a correct Org ID and Short name is saved.
- Check to confirm the serial number is not changed.
- Ensure there are no network connection issues. Port 443 is used for communication with cloud.
