Summary:
The AHD camera range default setting is AHD high resolution (2MP and above), but you can change that to CVBS by using the Function Setup Switch, which is used for the OSD menu navigation. This article provides instructions for changing the video format.
Step-By-Step Guide:
If the test monitor you are using shows only a black screen, it most likely does not support AHD as a video format, and you have to switch the camera to CVBS to show the video on your monitor.
To change the video format from AHD to CVBS and vice versa, press and hold the Function Setup Switch for more than 5 seconds and then release it.
Alternatively, navigate to the OSD menu and change the format from the Main Setup menu.
OSD Menu > 1. VIDEO FORMAT > AHD/CVBS:
Some models of AHD cameras can send a CVBS signal out of the same BNC connector. Other models require the use of a 2-pin fly lead that came with the camera. The location of this connector is shown in the following image.
