The NVR runs on the Ubuntu Linux Operating System and has a different procedure for preparing storage than a Windows PC. This article is meant to help anyone who needs additional storage capacity on their WRN series NVR.
Step By Step Guide:
To add additional storage on a WRN series NVR:
- Remove the screws for the top case and remove the casing so you can see inside the unit.
NOTE: Refer to the instructions in the Wave PoE NVR manual.
NOTE: The images in these photos are from a WRN-810s which only has two drive slots.
- Use the included screws from your drive manufacturer to physically mount the drive.
- Connect the power and data cables to the new drive.
