Applies to Models: X, P, Q, and T series cameras
Summary
Some Wisenet camera models feature a micro USB connector. With a specific Wi-Fi adapter attached to the USB connector, wireless setup of the camera is possible using the Wisenet Installation application available for Android and iOS. The document attached to this article explains the Android and iOS setup of the Wisenet Installation application.
It is also possible to utilize a Wi-Fi enabled laptop accessing the camera directly using the same setup. However, since the camera can not configure the Wi-Fi adapter and act as a router, a different procedure is required. This article provides instructions for configuring the camera using a Wi-Fi enabled laptop.

On the laptop, open the Wi-Fi network setup utility and search for the camera.
The SSID should include the camera model number. The laptop Wi-Fi should be in DHCP mode.
In the following example, the first SSID (XNV-6080_0076_WISENET) would be the one to select.
-
Connect to the camera.
-
Once connected, open a command prompt window and enter: ipconfig
- Locate the Wi-Fi adapter and write down the Default Gateway.
In the previous example, it would be 192.168.100.1 -
Open a web browser and enter the Default Gateway obtained in the previous step.
A prompt is displayed to set the initial admin password.
