Summary:
The SRN series of recorders are now end of life and as such not all later generation cameras are compatible with them.
Resolution:
The following table shows what cameras are compatible with the SRN NVRs, including older Q-Series, newer Q-Series, X-Series and ONVIF cameras.

NOTE: You may be able to add an incompatible camera to an SRN via RTSP
allowing only the video stream to be sent to the SRN. No alarms,
analytics or PTZ movement is supported via this method. Before adding,
ensure RTSP without authentication is ticked on the camera. Refer to the

*** Some of the SRNs were released before the concept of ONVIF profiles were contrived, so they have basic ONVIF compatibility, which modern cameras have done away with in favor of the ONVIF profiles.
**** The 4-channel SRNs may be running firmware that supports only Samsung cameras, ONVIF support was not enabled in later firmware. While it may be possible to downgrade to an earlier firmware version, this is not advised and may break the NVR.
