Hanwha Wisenet cameras support FTP connections. Using the Time Schedule feature, you can automatically save the images required to create your own time-lapse video. This article provides instructions for creating time lapse images on Wisenet cameras.
NOTE: This article assumes you already have an FTP server setup with a user
account and a folder ready for use by the Wisenet camera.
Step By Step Guide
IMPORTANT: Make sure the FTP user account has FTP permissions enabled.
To create time lapse images with the Event Rule feature:
- Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the camera.
- Navigate to Settings > Event > FTP/E-mail.
- Enter the information in the appropriate FTP and E-mail configuration fields, then click Apply.
- Select Event > Time Schedule.
- Select the Enable checkbox, and select the Transfer interval from the drop-down menu to adjust how often the time lapse updates.
- Select Event > Event Rule.
- Click Add to create an Event Rule.
- Enter an appropriate name in the Rule name field.
- Click +Add to add an event.
- Select Time Schedule from the Event trigger drop-down menu.
- Select the Enable checkbox by FTP for the notification methods to use.
- Select the Activation Time from the drop-down menu.
NOTE: This option only shows as available under CH1 when creating the Event rule,
but it covers and sends snapshots for all 5 channels simultaneously. - Click OK. The Event Rule appears in the list.
