Summary:
The SolidEDGE camera uses an SSD for the WAVE VMS and storage. The camera uses a modular design to make installation and maintenance easy. If the camera module is powered up without the installation base which contains the SSD, the camera will report a drive failure, since it can not communicate with the base.
Step By Step Guide:
If you receive the "Replacement Recommended" message in the Storage menu, perform the following steps.
- Power off the camera.
- If the camera is powered by PoE+, this can be achieved by unplugging the network cable.
- Note that the camera supports power redundancy failover, which allows it to stay powered from a 2nd power source.
- Many network switches allow cycling PoE power to a port.
- You can also reboot the camera by selecting the Restart option in the Upgrade/Restart menu of the camera web interface setup menu. (Figure 1)
