Issue Summary:
The admin password for Wisenet Viewer is lost and needs to be reset. To do so, you need to remove and reinstall Wisenet Viewer. However, when you delete the Wisenet Viewer software app from the Mac, it does not remove the Wisenet Viewer system files which contain the passwords and other configurations. Following the steps below will allow you to reset the admin password.
Resolution:
- From the Mac dekstop select Finder and then Applications.
- Search for Wisenet Viewer in the upper right search bar.
Note: There is no space between Wisenet and Viewer. Do not just select it
or scroll in the list. - Do not just select it or scroll in the list.
- Below the search box, select the + and then select Other...
- Select or search for: System Files.
- Select System files and change the selection to are included.
- To uninstall Wisenet Viewer, drag the Wisenet Viewer application icon and the WisenetViewer folder icon to the trash.
- After reinstalling Wisenet Viewer you will be prompted to set a new password and configure the software the first time you start the application .
NOTE: To remove just the configuration including the unknown password, drag
the WisenetViewer folder icon to the trash.
