Summary

This article provides instructions for configuring advanced analytics in WAVE Client on certain makes and models of cameras.

Configuring Analytics

To configure analytics in WAVE Client:

1. Update the system to the latest build of WAVE.
   
   
2. Log in to the WAVE Client as an admin-level user.
   
   
3. Right-click the desired camera then click Camera Settings.
   
   
   
   
4. Click the Plugins tab.
   
   
5. Verify analytics are not on the Primary Camera stream as this can cause CPU loading.
   
   
   
   
6. Select the desired analytic and configure the settings, including any global settings.
   
   
   

   NOTE: Some analytics require enabling them with the toggle.
   Certain analytics allow for an optional Area/Line name.

7. Click the +add button to add virtual line / virtual areas.
   
   
8. Select a color then click on the video to draw the virtual line / virtual area. 
   
   
   

   NOTES: A minimum of two points are required for a virtual line. 
   Virtual lines can also specify the direction(s) to trigger.
   A minimum of four points are required for a virtual area.
   You can add additional points by clicking on the border. 
   Click the clear button to start over. You can also click and 
   drag to move the entire virtual line/area.
