Summary:
The WAVE VMS Server uses a combination of database technologies to accomplish its amazing feats. Below we'll go over the details of each database required to keep your WAVE VMS System up and running.
Explanation of Behavior:
- NEVER modify database files in a System without express direction from the Hanwha Support Team..
- This process will continue until the DDNS / P2P function is disabled, the unit is connected to the Internet, or an updated firmware is applied.
- Ecs.SQLite stores User Rights & Settings, System Settings, and Device Configuration
- Mserver. SQLite stores all events, bookmarks, and operator actions. It's local for every Server and is not synchronized.
File Paths:
Windows: C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Hanwha\Hanwha Media Server
Linux: /opt/Hanwha/mediaserver/var/
- Archive Index (not synchronized) NXDB (proprietary): the archive is not synchronized across the system.
- WAVE keeps Smart Search index files for all recorded videos in a binary format. They're also not synced across the system and are local to the Server. The server reports this information to the rest of the System while it's online.
- Ecs_static.SQLite stores the license keys
