Summary:
When using Wisenet NVRs, the system has a built-in feature that ensures video data is preserved in the event of time changes—whether it's a manual time change, an NTP update, or a shift due to Daylight Savings Time (DST). While this helps prevent the loss of footage, it can result in an issue known as Overlapped Data.
Step By Step Guide:
You can playback different tracks of video using the Overlapped ID function. When using the WAVE VMS to access recorded NVR video, if you cannot locate the desired video using the standard playback functions, such as scrubbing the timeline, select a different Overlapped ID.
To select a different Overlap ID:
- Log in to the WAVE Client.
- Right-click the NVR in the resource tree on the left, then select Overlapped ID.
- Select an Overlap ID from the list.
NOTE: If there are multiple listed, you may need to try each one to
locate the video data needed.
