Summary:

Note: The remote control (EP10-001090A) is required to perform the password reset.
The login prompt or menu should not be displaying on the screen. 

Below is a guide on how you can reset your DVR/NVR to factory default in the event you have forgotten the device admin password.

Step By Step Guide:

1. While pointing the remote control at the front of the DVR/NVR, please press the following five buttons one after the other:  Up Arrow, Right Arrow, 5, 3, 3 .

Note: You will want to press the buttons one after the other fast and lightly. 
When done correctly, you will see a message asking if you want to load the default.

2. Press ok when prompted to load default.

3. The DVR will reboot to the Startup Wizard where you can create a new password.
