Summary:
Users can deactivate and move a License Key from one computer to another. A license might need deactivation or transfer in one of the following instances:
- Hardware failure
- Hardware ID change (hardware modified - RAM, motherboard, network card)
- Hardware replacement (transfer licenses to a new machine)
- Accidental license assignment
This article provides the instructions to deactive/transfer WAVE licenses from one machine to another.
NOTE: A license can be deactivated and moved a maximum of 3 times by the end-user.
Step By Step Guide:
License deactivation limitations:
- Users must have an active Internet connection to execute the deactivation
- Time licenses cannot be deactivated
To deactivate/transfer a license:
- Open the Wisenet WAVE Desktop client.
- From the Main Menu, select System Administration > Licenses tab.
- Select the License Key to be deactivated and click the Deactivate button.
- Complete the Deactivation form and click Next.
You can now use this License Key again.
