Summary
Motion Smart Search instantly searches archive video to discover and highlight the segments that contain motion in a user-selected region of a video image. Simply select the desired region, and Wisenet WAVE will display all segments that contain motion throughout the archive (scanning through a yearly archive only takes a few seconds).

Using Smart Motion Search
Motion Smart Search requires that the selected camera supports motion detection, and that Wisenet WAVE motion detection be enabled. Note that motion smart search cannot be applied to Motion Mask regions, where motion detection has been blocked. However, if no area is selected, Wisenet WAVE returns results from the entire video region.
Configure the Motion Area
To configure the motion area:
- Right-click on the camera in the resource panel.
- Select Camera Settings.
- Switch to Motion.
- Click the sensitivity block then drag the area you want to detect.
- Click Apply > OK.
Search the Motion Event
To search the motion event:
- Select the Search icon on a camera's viewing cell.
- Highlight the areas(s) on the camera view to apply the search.
- The Timeline instantly updates to show areas in the video archive that contain motion in the targeted area. Search results are shown in red.
- While motion search is enabled, playback skips from one motion event to the next.
