Summary:
Files from a single device, Bookmarks, and files from multiple devices that are synchronized for simultaneous playback can be can be exported from Wisenet WAVE. The following two formats are used to create executable files to be opened with or without WAVE being installed on your computer.
- NOV – A proprietary Wisenet WAVE media file (.nov) which can be opened by the Wisenet WAVE desktop client only.
- EXE – A platform dependent executable bundle where the Wisenet WAVE Client application is exported with the video file. Used to distribute videos to users who do not have any codecs or media players installed. Can be opened without Wisenet WAVE installed on the computer, but video will be viewable only on the Windows architecture with which video was produced. When the executable is opened, the Client launches and plays the exported video. These files can be edited once exported. Motion detection and data processing in the recorded segments is retained in the export.
Step By Step Guide:
- Login to your WAVE client.
- Drag the Camera(s) you wish to export from into the viewing area of WAVE.
- Use the Calendar or timeline to find the incident.
- Left-click and drag to select the timeframe you wish to export.
- Right-click on the selected timeframe and select Export Video...
- Select the Folder to save the video to and enter the video Name. Select either Hanwha Media File (*.nov) or Executable Hanwha Media File (*.exe) then click Export.
- The .exe export format contains a portable and lightweight version of the WAVE Desktop application used to view the video on any Windows PC. The .nov export format requires the WAVE Client software to be installed to open in Windows, macOS, or Ubuntu.
